Coast Healthcare Management, LLC has been providing management services to Physician Groups since 1985. We currently provide services to Alamitos IPA, Brookshire IPA, Citrus Valley Physicians Group, Family Care Specialists IPA, Fountain Valley IPA, Good Samaritan Medical Practice Association, Lakewood IPA, Primary Care Associates of California, and St. Mary IPA (the Groups.)

The Groups are independent medical groups who provide medical services to over 80,000 subscribers. Together the groups contract with over 700 primary and specialty care physicians who practice medicine throughout the greater Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

The professional management has designed it’s delivery system to accommodate accelerated access to providers. Through innovations in medical service delivery, integrity and compassion in member treatement and communications, we strive to positively influence each of our member’s personal health status and the overall well being of the surrounding communities.

Utilization Management (UM) decision making is based only on approapriateness of care and service and the evidence of coverage. Coast Healthcare Management does not specifically reward practitioners or other individuals conducting utilization review for issuing denials of coverage or service. Financial incentives for UM decision-makers do not encourage decisions that result in under-utilization.

What is an ACO

 

Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) are groups of doctors, hospitals, and other health care providers, who come together voluntarily to give coordinated high quality care to their Medicare patients.

The goal of coordinated care is to ensure that patients, especially the chronically ill, get the right care at the right time, while avoiding unnecessary duplication of services and preventing medical errors.

On April 1, 2012, Premier ACO Physicians Network joined The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)' Medicare Shared Savings Program (Shared Savings Program) under the Affordable Care Act. We are a group of  primary and specialty care physicians who have come together and made a commitment to take accountability for the quality care of the Medicare FFS population. We are currently serving about 9,000 beneficiaries and our mission is to provide them with a strong health support system to ensure patients are getting the right care at the right time in the right setting.
